EAST MAITLAND Lions Club

District 201N3, New South Wales, Australia

Projects - and more projects, do one or do them all, it's up to you!

Lions is a community service organisation!

People join Lions because they want to use their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done.

This is where you can find out about the sorts of projects that your local Lions Club is doing. Like what you see? Get involved!

Austalia Day BBQ in Maitland Park, what a fun day, starting early, we cook the BBQ for the many, many people who come together in Maitland Park to celebrate Australia Day. We cook until the food runs out!

National Tree Planting Day  - is another way our club and members are out in the community.  This is a long term project for the club. The members like to get their hands dirty for this day! If its digging holes, planting the trees, or giving them a water. It all helps!

The Cubby House is a well worthwhile project for the club, all for a good cause. It gets many of the members involved in the planning and building stages. It usually goes into Stockland Greenhills from late October right to the leadup to Christmas and with members selling tickets for this wonderful Cubby and then we deliver to the winner.

Winners of this wonderful prize have been some very happy children.

Cleanup Australia Day - many hands make light work. Members, family and friends and the local community are all invited to come along each year and make the East Maitland area clean again.

Gift Wrapping is another project for the club that gets many of the members, partners and friends involved. It can be a very busy time in the run up to Christmas. This is also done for Mother's Day.
