Hunter Valley Grammar School Leo Club
Leo Club at Hunter Valley Grammar SchoolOver 50 young people have now joined the Leo Club in their school, with more new members wanting to join at every meeting. The students have completed some great projects and are getting under way with new ones, a very exciting time for the club!
Their President Leo Courtney Lawrence is leading the club, with a great group of students as her officers, forming the Club Executive.
The students are from all years in the school, so this will be a great network for the youth to develop their leadership and community skills.

What We Do!Pictured at left is Lion Kathy and Lions Lady Del hard at work Gift Wrapping at Stockland Greenhills shopping centre.
The Lions Club of East Maitland are a great group of people, we do have fun on our projects and we like to raise money to aid the less fortunate in the local community.
At Christmas time we get involved with our local shopping centre with Gift Wrapping - which get all our members and partners wrapping and doing ribbons and bows for the gifts. If you can't wrap a gift you can get involved with selling tickets in our Cubby House raffle, which the members build themselves.
The club is also involved with the Eye Glass Recycling program, we have outlets throughout the East Maitland and Maitland area including: Easts Golf & Leisure Club, East Maitland Bowling Club, the libraries at East Maitland and Maitland, local pharmacies such as Anderson's, East Maitland, Lorn Village, Morpeth & Tenambit, also St Peter's Church, East Maitland Public School, Dr's Davis & Gibbon's in Maitland, J&J and David O'Sullivan Optometrists, Greenhills Eyewear, Specsavers, NIB Eyecare Centre at Rutherford, HOS Maitland, and Maitland Discount Spec's & New Look Eyewear both in Maitland. Our members who are involved collect regularly from these places.
We do BBQ's for schools, community groups, sporting clubs and businesses. We are regularly part of the Cleanup Australia Day campaign. We also plant trees for National Tree Day.
The club holds fun days for the members - like lawn bowls and ten pin bowling and also we have an annual camping trip. We regularly have breakfast outings to local cafes and restaurants. This ensures our members and partners get to catch up in some relaxed settings. Our Social committee is always thinking of new ideas for our members to get together socially.
These are just some of the things our club members enjoy doing together.
